Offer Features
With MO Credit Card Core, you can create tailored credit card offers for your customers based on their financial profiles, with considerations for factors such as credit score, spending patterns, and income. This page explores key functionalities related to offers, such as segmentation based on Line of Credit (LOC) or Product, updating products with specific offers, canceling credit offers, and supporting balance transfers.
Configuration flexibility
MO developed a highly flexible offer configuration engine to accommodate the diverse regulatory landscape of LATAM and North America. This multi-offer capability empowers us to deploy credit card solutions across the region, providing innovative credit products to our clients.
1. Revolving offer
MO's Credit Card Core revolving offer includes all configurations necessary for compliance with LAC and USA regulations, enabling credit cards with revolving credit capabilities. This encompasses considerations for interest accrual, payment prioritization, and minimum payments.
2. Installment loans
This feature allows cardholders to use Installment Loans capabilities within a credit card offer. Different configurations are available, including:
- Revolving to Installment Offer: Cardholders can choose to pay for specific transactions in a fixed number of installments with a predetermined charge. This charge can either be paid upfront or deferred through the installments.
- Installment Loan: You can define an independent offer with a specified minimum, maximum, and default number of installments, deferring each transaction to installments.
3. Multiple offer engine per product
MO's system enables multiple offers on the same product based on different variables. For instance, Black Cards can have both revolving and fixed installment offers with 0% interest.
Segmentation
Segments are defined as customer’s credit score group ranges used to place customers in each product offer. The segmentation capability sets a credit line range for each offer to apply the desired one to each customer.
In the context of a credit card management solution like MO, segmentation criteria refer to the factors or characteristics used to categorize users into distinct groups for more targeted and personalized services. This segmentation helps tailor credit card offers and features to better meet the diverse needs and preferences of different user groups. Some common segmentation criteria in this context may include credit card score range, income levels, spending habits, and more.
Segmentation configuration
Segmentation is based on the client's Line of Credit (LOC) product and offer configuration. MO's team configures the segmentation definition, but clients can define the segmentation criteria.
- Applying Predefined Offers:: Customers can have a predefined offer, not depending on the LOC. To apply a predefined offer to different users, please specify the offer in the pre-customer’s information.
- Client Control:: You can select directly which product each customer will be offered. The selected product must be included in the customer information.
Get segment
Use the Get Segment endpoint to retrieve details of a specific segment or product configured on the project of the program manager in advance.
Update product
This service enables you to update an account to a new product with its specific new offers, such as upgrading to a better credit offer with a lower annual percentage rate (APR).
Cancel credit offer
This service allows you to cancel selected credit offers, preventing new loans from being created with those specific offers.
Requesting updates/cancellation
You can request a product update or credit offer cancellation through the customer support channel. After making the request, it will take up to 4 hours for the changes to be live in the project.
