Set-up your Credit Card Products

To start issuing and managing credit cards using our Credit Core, you must define certain characteristics and conditions associated with your product, which can be configured within our platform.

These configurations are structured into three levels, allowing you to determine the behavior of your credit card products—from the decimal precision used in calculations to the minimum payment calculation method, transaction interest rates, fees, and more. These levels are:

  • Project Level: This level defines the most general parameters, which apply to all products created within the instance. Examples include payment allocation priority, decimal precision for calculations and amounts, the timeframe for canceling an unconfirmed authorization transaction, among others.
  • Product Level: In MO, this refers to the different types of credit card products managed within the Core. These products are usually categorized based on franchise naming conventions. For instance, an issuer’s product set may include Classic, Gold, Platinum, and Black cards. At this level, key financial logic parameters are configured, such as the credit line required to access the product, the minimum payment calculation method, and whether the card is virtual, physical, or both. Multiple products can be created under the same project.
  • Offer Level: This level defines the parameters associated with regular and delinquent interest rates applied to a product's transactions, as well as additional costs and fees. Since multiple offers can be associated with the same product, this allows for flexible pricing and interest structures.

Example Configuration:

  • Project: XYZ Bank – Mexico
  • Products: Classic, Gold
  • Offers:
    • Standard: 2% monthly interest rate
    • Fee: $5 monthly fee

Continue exploring the following sections for detailed information on configurable parameters available at each level.

Note: It is essential to define the configuration parameters at the Project level and, at a minimum, set up a Product with its corresponding Offers.
